Wedding Pictures are In!!!

Wedding pictures are in and I have derived a way for you download them without having to go through email!! First, go to our Photographer's website: http://www.millenniummemories.com. Click on View and Order Prints on the bottom of the page. Then find August 28, 2010 on the right side of the page and click on Betsy and Jeffrey. This will give you the "list" of pictures. Once you find the picture you want, remember the Picture Number (i.e. Betsy-Jeffrey_005......so the number you want to remember is 005).

Then to access the High Res. photo, plug that number into this link:

It will take some time to load, as it is a High Resolution picture. Once it's done loading, right click on the picture and click Save Picture As (Could also say: Save Image As) and Save it to your computer.

To access another picture, simply change the number on the end of the URL. So, say I would like picture 297 here is your link: http://www.jeffandbetsy.com/Wedding_Photos/Betsy-Jeffrey_297.jpg

Rest in peace

Ken and Karol brought Willie to the hospital about 8:30 pm last night (Sunday, Sept. 5) and Barb passed peacefully away shortly after he arrived while he was holding her hand. We love you Barb, and we'll miss you. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." (Ps. 116:15)

Friday afternoon

Barb was awake when I got there this morning so got to visit a little bit. She's taking her fluids mostly off the "sponge on a stick" and through ice chips. She was very itchy again and asked me to scratch her head and neck. Evidently I wasn't rubbing hard enough because she told me to "use your nails" but I told her I didn't have much for fingernails so I massaged harder to try to make up for it. I asked if anything but her head itched and she said it was all over so we had the nurse give her more Benadryl to ease her discomfort. That kind of knocked her out and she was still sleeping when I left this afternoon.

Wednesday afternoon

Barbi's flying back to TX tomorrow morning. They have upped Barb's pain meds and today she was having itching problems so we asked if they could relieve that for her; she now has a standing order for Benadryl every 6 hours if needed. She was kind of awake when I got there today and smiled every now and then when I was talking to her so I think she was processing okay. She's still drinking by mouth, asked for some Coke and had water from the handsome nurse she's trying to set Barbi up with (but he's only 27).

Marge was off to her class reunion for a few hours and then will stay overnight when Barbi and Willie go home. Willie said Pastor and Karol both talked to him about his not wanting to stay around anymore when Barb's gone and I told him he had a lot more people than just Barb who cared about him.

Barbi said Barb was awake during the night talking about lots of things - some she could make sense of, and some not so much. They enjoyed watching the lightning out the window during the storm.

Monday noon

They finally made the decision to keep Barb where she is. She was awake briefly when I stopped and smiled a few times, doesn't talk much but did say she was in pain so Marge pushed the button for more meds. Someone came to visit her but she said no, only family. Barbi may come back tomorrow as she has no flights to pick up the next few days.

Saturday morning

Barbi said she's a little more coherent this morning; they reconnected the suction tube (why they stopped it we don't know) and her pain is better, probably due to all the gunk that's being removed. Barbi's bringing Willie to the wedding this afternoon. She may have to be moved to Hillview Monday.

Friday evening

Ken stopped in late this afternoon and they were keeping her quite sedated as she was getting increasingly agitated today. Barbi and Gene are flying home Sunday morning. Monday the doctors will discuss moving her to another facility. (hopefully not)

Wednesday morning

Barb slept well last night, woke up at 6:30 this morning. She was having a hard time focusing and getting her mind clear but I think she'll get better as the day goes on. Her legs and feet were quite swollen when she woke up. Margie came as I left at 8:30 and Barbi and Gene will be here at noon. Barbi will be staying there tonight. Barb's friend Syl (used to live in Bangor) drove down from the Cities yesterday for a visit and Barb was so happy to see her.

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Tuesday afternoon

Barb was moved to room 4320 this morning (hospice). Barbi and Gene are flying up a day early and will be here tomorrow. I'll be staying overnight with her tonight. She can have clear fluids as she desires; her tube is suctioning continuously so the fluids are basically a comfort thing. She has pain meds as needed. The hospice doctor's best guess is that she has approximately 3-5 days. Joleen

Barb update

Barb was too weak this morning to be transported home for hospice care; everything is set up at the house just in case. Willie and Marge went home for the evening. The nurse thought Barb looked a little better tonight than she did earlier.

Can I keep this one?

We went to the Stallman farm to see the new puppies (mom's a labradoodle and dad's a lab) and other baby animals. What fun! Anyone need a puppy? There are 8 total. ("Dad" came to the farm with Nick Schams and Lindsay - surprise!) http://picasaweb.google.com/JoleenStratman/StallmanFarmVisit#
